INANY 2024 Nurses Day Celebration – Call for Nominations for Awards

INA-NY will be celebrating 2024 Nurses’ Day in combination with the 20th anniversary celebration on May 4th. As in the past, this is the time we will be honoring our members in the following categories fortheir professional excellence:

  1. INANY Nurse Excellence Award 2024 – Nominations are invited for “INANY Nurse Excellence Award 2024” in the following categories.
    1. Clinical Practice – Staff Nurse
    2. Clinical Practice – Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Midwives, and Nurse Anesthetists.)
    3. Nurse Educators/Administrator. 
Self-nomination is acceptable. Please note the following:
INA-NY Nurse Excellence Award 2024 will be presented to a chosen Registered Nurse (in each of the categories) of Indian origin/heritage who is an active member of INANY. Please submit your nominations for making significant contributions to INANY in this current term. The
selected candidate will exemplify the very best attributes of the nursing profession, excelled in giving high-quality patient care, demonstrated a commitment to professional nursing practice and contributed to accomplish the mission, vision, and goals of INANY. Previous award
recipients in the same category are not eligible to be considered. Members of the Awards & Scholarship Committee are not eligible to nominate or to be nominated for any awards.
 
              2. INANY Achievement Award – This award will be presented                    to INANY members who graduated from an accredited diploma                    or degree program since Summer 2023.
              3. INANY Service Award – This award will be presented to                            INANY members who are recent retirees (Summer 2023 – May                    2024)

Please submit the nominations and names of new graduates and retirees to the INANY Awards & Scholarships Committee via email at inanyawardsandscholar@gmail.com NO LATER THAN April 25, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted. New graduates and retirees must be registered (please visit www.inany.org) to attend the event and present in person to receive the award. INA-NY Nurse Excellence Award 2024 - Nomination Form

INA-NY Nurse Excellence Award 2024 will be presented to a chosen Registered Nurse of Indian origin/ heritage who is an active member of INA-NY and exemplifies the very best attributes of the nursing profession. Please submit nomination for an RN who has made significant contributions to INA-NY in accomplishing its goals, excelled in giving high quality patient care and demonstrated a commitment to professional nursing practice in one of the categories listed below. The nominee must be a member of INA-NY for at least one year by the date of submission of nomination. Self-nomination is acceptable if it satisfies the criteria set by the evaluating committee.

Please submit this nomination form along with a description in a separate page(s) showing how this RN demonstrates the following:

  • Contribution to INA-NY’s mission, vision, and goals
  • Commitment to safe, quality patient care and clinical excellence
  • Commitment to self-development and lifelong learning
  • Positive image of nursing profession
  • Mentoring skills/ motivation/Teamwork/ dependability.

will be presented at the 2024 INA-NY Nurses’ Day celebration which will be held on May 4th, 2024 at The Cotillion, 440 Jericho Turnpike, Jericho, NY 11753.
